Only five games were played over the course of the week due to postponements across the SJHL. The Battlefords North Stars were one of two teams this week to play a pair of games.
They first shutout the Kindersley Klippers 3-0 on Friday night, before an electric, back-and-forth, 5-4 overtime victory in the rematch on Saturday. Doell picked up a goal and an assist on Saturday, including the overtime winner.

RBC FORWARD OF THE WEEK: Nolan Doell, Melfort Mustangs
The older of the two Doell brothers went off in the Mustangs 5-2 victory during the ‘protest game’ over the Broncos. On Friday night, Doell picked up two assists on the Mustangs opening two goals. Then when the final 9 minutes was restarted on Saturday, Doell led the Mustangs to victory by scoring both goals. He was held off the scoresheet in the follow up game on Saturday.

MAYFAIR DIAGNOSTICS SJHL DEFENCEMAN OF THE WEEK: Noah Barlage, Humboldt Broncos
The second D-man of the week award for the 2003-born third-year veteran. Barlage picked up a point in each of the Broncos two games this past weekend, giving him 28 on the season (5g,23a).
He sits one point behind Flin Flon’s Xavier Lapointe for the league-lead from a defenseman.

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK: Lowen Kenyon, Battlefords North Stars
The only goalie to register a shutout this week.
2004-born rookie goaltender, Lowen Kenyon was the star of the North Stars’ first game this week.
The youngster stopped all 28 shots faced for his first career SJHL shutout over the Kindersley Klippers.
A smaller stature goalie compared to other netminders across the league, but not one to overlook.
Kenyon has posted a 4-1-1-0 record with a 1.87 GAA, and .940 SV% across 8 appearances this season.

DIRECTWEST SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Harmon Laser Hume, Nipawin Hawks
The Hawks shutdown the red-hot Melville Millionaires in their lone game this week.
Rookie goalie, Harmon Laser-Hume got the start in net and turned aside 27 of 28 Melville shots in a 4-1 win on home ice.
Laser-Hume picked up his first win since November 16th. The Hawks are going to need more of this stellar play as they continue to battle for the 8th and final playoff spot.
