SGEU MVP of the Week: Reilley Kotai, Melfort Mustangs
The big forward had a monster night last Friday at home vs. the Battlefords North Stars, posting a hat trick and six points in an 8-1 win. His production has really exploded on a line along with relatively new Mustangs Will Munro and Rylan Ringor, and the depth of this Melfort crew has overwhelmed all comers lately.

Humboldt’s sniper might be the best pure goalscorer in the SJHL, and with seven points in his last three, he should be full of confidence as he heads to Team Canada West’s final selection camp this week. His biggest output of the week was a two-goal, three-point outing in a wild win at home vs. the Nipawin Hawks.

SuperU Defenceman of the Week: Kaelen Whittingham, Estevan Bruins
The Bruins have won four in a row at the time of writing, and Whittingham and the defence corps are front and centre. Whittingham, a long-time Bruin, scored a goal and added two assists in their 4-3 overtime victory at Affinity Place against the Weyburn Red Wings Saturday.

Sasktel Goalie of the Week: Nick Genette, Melville Millionaires
Melville has had to rely on young goaltenders for much of the year so far, which often leads to inconsistency. Gennette has shaken that off, though, and the man who backstopped the best U18AAA team in the United States last year has been magnificent lately. Two wins in Kindersley this past weekend featured only three goals against and +.949 save percentages each night.

IKS Media Rookie of the Week: Anthony Nolan, Notre Dame Hounds
The young Hound showed a flair for the dramatics this past week, scoring the winner at home vs. Humboldt Wednesday with 40 seconds left. He briefly gave Notre Dame the lead in Carlyle against the Estevan Bruins in the third period Friday. He has been a consistent, physical, energetic presence alongside ND star Marko Djordjevic on the top line.

Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Week: Mason Karakochuk, Nipawin Hawks (from Saskatoon, Sask)
A huge six-point week has catapulted the 2006-born Karakochuk to the top of the Hawks’ scoring charts, headlined by a two-goal, three-point evening in Humboldt Saturday. The dangerous lef has already doubled his point total from his rookie campaign a year ago.
