MAYFAIR DIAGNOSTICS SJHL DEFENCEMAN OF THE WEEK: Tanner Sklaruk, Yorkton Terreirs
The Yorkton Terriers have been in more one-goal games than any team in the SJHL this season. A lot of that has to do with their defense and goaltending.
Tanner Sklaruk picked up two points included the game winning goal in a 5-3 victory on the road against the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Saturday.
The Terriers have allowed the second fewest goals against in the league this year, and that has a lot to do with their mobile defense corps and stellar goaltending.

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK: Boston Bilous, Estevan Bruins
Yet another Bruin deserving of recognition after the team’s perfect 4 for 4 week.
Goaltender Boston Bilous picked up his first win of the week in a 34 save performance against the Battlefords North Stars. He then added his second shutout of the season on Saturday, turning aside 23/23 in a 6-0 win over the Millionaires. When it looked like his week was done, he was pushed back into action on Sunday following an injury to their starting netminder, and once again was stellar, stopping 12/13 in relief.

DIRECTWEST SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Matthew Perkins, Humboldt Broncos
2004 born rookie, Matthew Perkins had his coming out show in the two games this week with the Broncos. The Balgonie, SK product picked up his first career hattrick in a 5-1 win over the Battlefords on Friday before scoring the overtime winner in a 4-3 win against Weyburn on Saturday.
Perkins is currently riding a four-game goal streak and leads all 2004 born player in points and goals this season.
