SGEU MVP of the Week: Ryan Duguay, Melfort Mustangs
It was a big weekend at home for the Melfort Mustangs as they earned a pair of wins over the visiting Estevan Bruins. One player who made a significant difference for the Mustangs was newcomer Ryan Duguay. The 19-year-old Edmonton, Alberta product played in his first two games with the Mustangs this weekend and in his debut, he had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win Friday night. Duguay would follow it up with a goal and two assists Saturday night in a 3-2 win over the Bruins. Duguay was in on every Mustangs goal this weekend except the empty netter by Tye Evans Friday. Duguay and the Mustangs will look to make it 3 wins in a row when they host the Weyburn Red Wings on Wednesday.

Sasktel Goalie of the Week: Cody Jaman, Kindersley Klippers
After a tough loss Tuesday to the Weyburn Red Wings, the Kindersley Klippers bounced back in a big way over the weekend with wins over the Humboldt Broncos and Yorkton Terriers. A big reason why they were able to complete their weekend sweep was the play of Cody Jaman in between the pipes. Jaman was easily the busiest goaltender this weekend in the SJHL, as he faced 91 shots and was up for the task as he made 86 saves, bringing his save percentage for the week to .945%. The 18-year-old is now 3-2 on the season with a 3.22 GAA and a .920 SV%.

Directwest Rookie of the Week: Dylan Ruptash, Yorkton Terriers
It was a tough 3 game in 3 night road trip for the Yorkton Terriers, but one player who stood out and has had a great start to his rookie season in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League is Dylan Ruptash. The 18-year-old found the back of the net twice on their road trip and added a helper in 3 games. He is now 2nd in team scoring with 6 goals and 2 assists on the season. Ruptash and the Terriers will host the Humboldt Broncos on Wednesday.

Defenceman of the Week: Jordan Grill, Battlefords North Stars
The beat continues to go on for the Battlefords North Stars. The Stars are 13-0-0-1 on the season and are ranked #1 in the CJHL Top 20. They continue to get contributions from up and down their line-up and this past week blue liner Jordan Grill helped guide the Stars to a pair of wins over the Yorkton Terriers. Grill registered 4 assists in 2 games, which was highlighted by 3 assists Thursday night in the Stars 9-3 victory over Yorkton. The Battleford product now has 2 goals and 7 assists on the season.
