The Notre Dame Hounds are moving on to the SJHL Quarter-Finals, thanks to Tuesday night’s 5-2 victory in Melfort.  The Hounds took the Best-of-Five Wild Card Series in four games.

That sends the Hounds to a Quarter-Final matchup with the Flin Flon Bombers, which will start in Flin Flon with Games 1 & 2 this Friday and Saturday.

Chance Longjohn scored twice and had an assist in Tuesday’s clincher.  Marshall Wilton and Jared Hamm each scored their first SJHL goals and added assists.  Chaz Smedsrud also scored, Brandon Sookro had two assists and Benjamin Patt made 25/27 saves.

Miles Warkentine scored in his final SJHL game for the Mustangs, and Carson Albrecht rounded out the scoring for the two-time defending Canalta Cup champions.

The four SJHL Quarter-Finals will all start Friday night.
