For the 11th episode of our 2025-26 SJHL RBC Community Ambassadors, we highlight Callum Creig of the Yorkton Terriers.
RBC Community Ambassadors are recognized for making a difference and giving back to the communities where they play. Each Ambassador is celebrated at an RBC Game Night and honoured with an RBC donation to a school in their local community.
SJHL fans will be able to vote online for the RBC Community Ambassador of their choice to be honoured as the recipient of the RBC Community Award at the end of the SJHL regular season. This additional honour is accompanied by a further donation from RBC in the player’s name to a school in their local community.
Callum’s $1,000 donation from RBC will go to Dr. Brass Elementary School in Yorkton, SK.
According to the Terriers, the Calgary, AB. native:
in his two seasons with the Yorkton Terriers has become a leader both on and off the ice. A voice and ear for his teammates. A peer that teammates look to count on daily, in and day out. Callum has also taken those qualities and become not only a mentor to the youth of our community, but a trusted and reliable young adult to the Parents and Guardians in our community. Callum exemplifies what it means to be a Yorkton Terrier. Honesty, Integrity and Passion for his team and community.
Callum has been credited with:
- Yorkton Minor Hockey – attends many practices and helps coach multiple teams
- Dr. Brass School – attends every Academy practice and helps coach – Community interactions at School Gym
- SIGN – Yorkton – Participates in events (Terriers vs Tykes)
- Health Foundation – Yorkton – Participates in Charity events to raise money for the Foundation (Tim Hortons Smile Cookie) (Charity Walk)
- Terry Fox Run – Raise money and participate
- SaskTel Pioneers Special Needs events – Holiday party for youth
- Boys and Girls Club Santa Claus Fundraiser – Helps with set up and take down of event
