We highlight Liam Fitzgerald of the Weyburn Red Wings for the 12th and final episode of our 2024-25 SJHL RBC Community Ambassadors series.

RBC Community Ambassadors are recognized for making a difference and giving back to the communities where they play. Each Ambassador is celebrated at an RBC Game Night* and will be honoured by a donation from RBC to a school in their local community.

SJHL fans will be able to vote online for the RBC Community Ambassador of their choice to be honoured as the recipient of the RBC Community Award at the end of the SJHL regular season. This additional honour is accompanied by a further donation from RBC in the player’s name to a school in their local community.

Liam’s $1,000 donation from RBC will go to Assiniboia Park Elementary School in Weyburn, SK.

According to the Wings, the St. Alberta, Alberta native “is a glue guy in our locker room.”

“His positive aura is admirable, with energy that not only uplifts our organization but also our Community. Liam always graciously volunteers, whether it’s helping out with minor hockey, assisting children at The Family Place, or working different stations at our local Library and so much more. The Red Wings and the Weyburn Community are very fortunate to have Liam sharing his larger than life smile day in and day out for the past two seasons.”
