For the second episode of our 2024-25 SJHL RBC Community Ambassadors, we highlight Matt Kjemhus of the Melville Millionaires.

RBC Community Ambassadors are recognized for making a difference and giving back to the communities where they play. Each Ambassador is celebrated at an RBC Game Night* and will be honoured by a donation from RBC to a school in their local community.

SJHL fans will be able to vote online for the RBC Community Ambassador of their choice to be honoured as the recipient of the RBC Community Award at the end of the SJHL regular season. This additional honour is accompanied by an additional donation from RBC in the player’s name to a school in their local community.

Matt’s $1,000 donation from RBC will go to Miller Elementary School in Melville, SK.

According to the Millionaires, the Hythe, AB native is “bleeds blue and white and has made Melville, SK. his second home. ”

“Matt is always the first to volunteer, helps out weekly with minor hockey, and always takes time to engage with our fans, especially the younger ones.

“Every Thursday, he also volunteers at a local elementary school, doing various things, but most importantly, he is a great role model for the youth in Melville.”
