For the fifth episode of our 2024-25 SJHL RBC Community Ambassadors, we highlight Nolan Roberts of the Melfort Mustangs.
RBC Community Ambassadors are recognized for making a difference and giving back to the communities where they play. Each Ambassador is celebrated at an RBC Game Night* and will be honoured by a donation from RBC to a school in their local community.
SJHL fans will be able to vote online for the RBC Community Ambassador of their choice to be honoured as the recipient of the RBC Community Award at the end of the SJHL regular season. This additional honour is accompanied by an additional donation from RBC in the player’s name to a school in their local community.
Nolan’s $1,000 donation from RBC will go to Reynolds Central School in Melfort, SK.
According to the Mustangs, the Brandon, MB. native has “is always the first person to step up when anyone needs help.”
“(Nolan’s) commitment to the Community of Melfort has not gone unnoticed. From cleaning gutters and hanging Christmas lights to shovelling snow, Nolan is willing to do it. He is also involved with the Minor Hockey program where he helps with practice, and he attends the Read with the Mustangs programme at the library to read to the a kids and do crafts with them.”
