SaskPower Rankings: Week 19 – Feb. 10, 2026

SJHL Power Rankings – Week 19 (Feb. 10, 2026)

1. Flin Flon Bombers (Last week 1)

Two more wins this past weekend, hard-fought ones against the Weyburn Red Wings, bring the Bombers to 20-0 at the Whitney Forum this year. Eight more games to perfection? Charlie Tritt had his best period in maroon in the net in the third period Friday as the Wings played as well as anybody has at the Forum so far this year. The Bombers keep winning, and what will they like when they’re back to full health? Getting Landon Alexander back up front is massive.

2. Yorkton Terriers (Last week 3)

The Terriers have won six in a row against their Bunge Division rival Estevan Bruins, including two more this past week. Yorkton keeps finding ways to win hockey games, as Gabriel Courchesne and Jye Zawatsky teamed up to rally and sink their Highway 10 rival, the Melville Millionaires, in OT Saturday to extend their overall win streak to six games. There were no point-per-game defencemen in the league last year, but Tommy Ries is doing his best to buck that trend this time around.

3. Nipawin Hawks (Last week 5)

Two straight shutouts for Gage Roberts mean that he’s back on track, and the Hawks are just that much scarier. His best game of the year so far came Wednesday in a 39-save goose-egg against the mighty Weyburn Red Wings, and the line of Eric Hoiness between Mason Karakochuk and Sean Shiels has been almost unstoppable lately. The battle for home-ice advantage in Round 1 keeps getting more and more serious.

4. Battlefords North Stars (Last week 4)

It’s the nature of the parity-rich SJHL that the North Stars, on their own three-game winning streak, cannot be moved up. They found a way in all three contests against very young, rebuilding teams, but that won’t bother Connor Logan and company; they have become experts at simply finding a way to win. Drew Williamson and Owen Nelson were the latest pair, in a weekly rotation, of Stars to emerge from a week as league stars.

5. Weyburn Red Wings (Last week 2)

If standing pat is unfair to Battlefords, a three-spot drop might be even more unfair to Weyburn. Cody Mapes’ men have played Flin Flon three of their last four games, beat them once, and maybe should have done so again on Friday. That all said, everyone has taken their turn to go up to the Whitney Forum, and come back further down the standings and power rankings…so this was just Weyburn’s turn. Joey Rocha has found his form in net, which is a massive piece, and is there a more complete D-corps in the SJHL right now?

6. Melfort Mustangs (Last week 8)

Two wins over Kindersley this past weekend were absolutely essential for Melfort to stay relevant in the playoff race, and they got the job done like the two-time defending champions they are. Could we see Saturday’s rally to win from down 3-0 and 4-1 as a launching point for the Mustangs’ run to the postseason? The key is that they are finally scoring goals to complement their outstanding goaltending, as they have averaged 4.3 goals per game to date.

7. Humboldt Broncos (Last week 10)

The Broncos picked up critical one-goal wins over Melville and Estevan this past week, both teams around them in the standings, and are now only one point back of the eighth and final playoff spot with a game in hand. Kindersley and a home-and-home with Melfort coming up this week could mean everything in the race for the post-season, so get your tickets now. Humboldt has played in a whopping 23 one-goal games and is under .500 in them, but that record is starting to turn as the season winds down.

8. Melville Millionaires (Last week 6)

If you take Jan. 31’s 3-0 loss to Flin Flon out of the equation, six of the Mils’ last seven games have been by one goal. Consistency remains hard to find, though recent wins over Nipawin, Battlefords, and Weyburn should have them feeling confident. They earned two points from a shootout and an overtime loss this past weekend and are clinging to the seventh spot, with the most games remaining in the SJHL.

9. Kindersley Klippers (Last week 8)

Kindersley’s three-game win streak was rudely snapped by the Melfort Mustangs this past weekend, though the Klips will finally see plenty of home ice the rest of the year after a long time away. The Klippers sit at the top of the bottom half pack, with the most games played in the league and a brutal strength of schedule for the rest of the campaign. Kindersley’s veteran squad have dealt with rocky seas all year and come through to date, however.

10. Estevan Bruins (Last week 9)

Yes, Estevan lost two more to extend their slump to seven games this past weekend, but they held a third-period lead against Yorkton on Friday and nearly rallied against Humboldt on Saturday. There is too much talent and pride in this group to pack it in for the season, so expect a response soon from a team still full of plenty of experience and ability. The night is always darkest before the dawn!

11. Warman Wolverines (Last week 11)

Another week, another show of promise from a group that could be electric next year, but another two losses. Still, they did it against a far more experienced Battlefords team with loads to play for, and this corps, built around young, skilled locals, still looks to have the support of ownership and the community. Terrific job by Captain Vinny Palmarin and his lieutenant, Pherson Loehndorf, for keeping everyone together and positive! The future is super bright for the league’s newest franchise.

12. La Ronge Ice Wolves (Last week 12)

The Ice Wolves’ faithful had plenty to cheer about last week, with a win over Melfort and an outstanding start against the mighty Nipawin Hawks on Saturday that ultimately fizzled out. This team, led by Dayton Tailfeathers, continues to compete and be right in games against some of the league’s best.
