SaskPower Rankings: Week 7 – Nov. 4, 2025

SJHL Power Rankings – Week 7 (Nov. 4, 2025)

1. Humboldt Broncos (Last week 1)

Humboldt completed a three games-over-12-days sweep over the Kindersley Klippers with two hard-fought wins over the weekend. Charlie Tritt is still the most dominant goaltender in the league, and Jacob Strizzi has not been held pointless in a game since September. They are now off for 12 days.

2. Estevan Bruins (Last week 8)

A meteoric rise in the rankings coincides with two wins over their Highway 39 rivals this past weekend, and four veteran, impactful additions to the line-up over the last weeks. Matthew Ronn especially looks to really provide elite minutes on the back end alongside Ethan Andrews, and nobody in the league has scored more goals than Drew Kocur’s men. Times are good again at Affinity Place.

3. Weyburn Red Wings (Last week 2)

Certainly, Weyburn could have won both of the games over the weekend against Estevan, and on top of that, they had not played since Oct. 18…so forgiveness for a little bit of rust is acceptable here. Sunday afternoon’s defeat was just their third regulation loss of the year, and given they have five of their next six at home, there truly is nothing but cause for optimism at Whitecap Resources Centre.

4. Kindersley Klippers (Last week 3)

The Klippers have been forced into overtime a remarkable nine times already through 17 games, and sit in second place in the league standings despite losing six of those nine games. They have seen an awful lot of high-flying Humboldt lately, and after two more tight defeats this past weekend at the hands of the Broncos, they will likely be grateful to see someone else for the next while.

5. Yorkton Terriers (Last week 9)

Yorkton continues to be one of the wildest up and down teams the rankings in the league. Three games ago, they were embarrassed 11-0 at home by Flin Flon, but have since responded with three consecutive wins, outscoring the opposition 16-5. Jye Zawatsky is maybe the most under-appreciated star in the league, and he had another hot weekend.

6. Flin Flon Bombers (Last week 5)

Mike Reagan’s men have responded the right way after a seemingly unprecedented six-game losing streak through early and mid-October. They are unbeaten in three and dominated Yorkton and Nipawin in that span. Everyone knows it’s only a matter of time before the Bombers figure it out, year after year, and they could be doing that right now.

7. Nipawin Hawks (Last week 6)

This is undoubtedly one of the most talented groups in the league, but they are still learning to win on a consistent basis. They had to land at the Whitney Forum in the second half of a back-to-back this past weekend, but found a way to beat Melville on Friday. Like Yorkton, the Hawks have been wildly up and down so far this year.

8. Melfort Mustangs (Last week 7)

The bad news is that it’s been an up-and-down year for the Mustangs organization, which is used to winning every night. The good news is that they are home a lot starting late November. A win and a loss to Warman will be followed by a big one on Wednesday against their UPL Division rival, the Flin Flon Bombers. Tristin Ziola broke out in a big way Saturday at home.

9. Melville Millionaires (Last week 10)

The Mils under Doug Johnson returned to their stingy ways this past weekend, losing one game 3-2 to Nipawin and winning the next 2-1 against Battlefords. It has been a bit of a strange year, though, as the Moneymen have had little trouble scoring but lots of trouble keeping the puck out.

10. Battlefords North Stars (Last week 4)

It was a tough weekend for the North Stars, and a drop this big in the rankings is a tad unfair, but that’s life in the parity-rich SJHL. They had a huge weekend two weeks ago, then lost big to Yorkton Friday and in OT to Melville on Saturday. Just like Melfort, though, they have not played at home much this year, and have eight of the next ten at the Access Communications Centre.

11. La Ronge Ice Wolves (Last week 11)

The Wolves were off last weekend and have not played since Oct. 26. Kevin Kaminski’s men played well in a dramatic win over Melville two Sundays ago, so they will be looking to carry that momentum into a busier stretch ahead.

12. Warman Wolverines (Last week 12)

Brett Pilkington continues to tweak this roster, and they keep producing better results, slowly but surely. The additions of Carter Bergen, Oliver Nottingham, and Bennet Leibel have borne fruit right away, though the injury bug is hitting this already stretched team very hard. They will soon add veteran WHLer Corban Almen to their lineup, so the expectation is that he will score some goals for a team that defends well. A win over Melfort last Friday was significant for their confidence.
