SaskPower Rankings: Week 9 – Nov. 18, 2025

SJHL Power Rankings – Week 9 (Nov. 18, 2025)

1. Flin Flon Bombers (Last week 4)

If the big 11-0 win over Yorkton a couple of weeks ago was the season turning point, this weekend’s dramatic sweep over the Humboldt Broncos might end up being the moment the Bombers truly took off. Flin Flon has won six in a row and is perfect in November. They are well on the right track.

2. Humboldt Broncos (Last week 1)

Two tight one-goal losses out of an always-tough weekend at the Whitney Forum are not cause for concern for this tight, talented group. The addition of the enormous Oliver Phillips bore fruit right away. Likely the only frustration for coach Brayden Klimosko right now is that the Broncos led in both games and could have emerged with more than a single point.

3. Kindersley Klippers (Last week 3)

The Klippers had another overtime game this past weekend vs. Estevan, their 11th of the year, and are on pace for an SJHL record 29 games in overtime. They would prefer this not to be the story, which is fair enough given their 29 points on the year are good for first place at the time of this writing. Avery Johnson leads them in scoring by eight points, but it’s genuinely a deep committee after that. They split with the Bruins this weekend, both at home, and will finish November on the road.

4. Weyburn Red Wings (Last week 2)

The Wings were flying before their extended break in October, but have not been the same since. They have splits in their last two weekends, vs. Melville and Warman, but given the experience and talent on this roster, it seems fair to assume this is simply a short ebb in the flow of a long, great season for Weyburn.

5. Estevan Bruins (Last week 5)

The league’s third-best offence had a couple of off nights this week on the road in Melville and Kindersley, Tuesday and Friday, respectively, before finding its groove again Saturday at the Klippers. Given the dynamic duo of Ewan Rennie and Rylan Williams up top, and the additions of the likes of Nathaniel Harvey and Matthew Ronn, there is depth all over this team now. What’s better is that they spend the rest of November at Affinity Place.

6. Battlefords North Stars (Last week 10)

Connor Logan’s men have won three of the last four, and with the potential addition of Owen Nelson from Melfort, the depth behind stars Anthony Campbell and Josh Knittig continues to grow. Gavin Granger’s terrific all-around season continues alongside Linken Fisher on the back end, and this team keeps proving that they can and will beat anyone.

7. Nipawin Hawks (Last week 7)

The toughness of navigating an SJHL season came home to the Hawks this past week. An outstanding 3-0 shutout win at home Friday over their big-time rival, Melfort Mustangs, was followed Saturday by a suboptimal 4-1 defeat to the Battlefords North Stars. Will Whitter has goals in each of his last two games, and the sturdy 2007-born centreman is known to be on the streaky side, so if he catches fire, chalk up another tough name to stop in this Nipawin line-up.

8. Yorkton Terriers (Last week 6)

The start of November was wildly busy for the Terriers, so this recent break was much-needed. They last played Nov. 8, a hard-fought 3-2 win in North Battleford, and a dramatic pair of Highway 10 rivalry games loom this weekend. Which Yorkton team will show up on a given night? We’re sure Coach Emery Olauson is trying to figure that out as well.

9. Melfort Mustangs (Last week 8)

Nobody has remade their roster this year like the Melfort Mustangs. Still, Centennial Cup veterans Danton Cox, Bo Eisner, and Austin Shepherd were front and centre in a much-needed big win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves Saturday. Goals this year have not been easy to come by for the ‘Stangs, but the addition of the talented Dru Mushumanski should help, as should four of the next five at the Northern Lights Palace.

10. Melville Millionaires (Last week 9)

The sense at the CN Community Centre is that this group of gargantuan Mils are one step away from locking in and going on a run. They showed the structured, hard-to-play-against style coach Doug Johnson loves last Tuesday in a 1-0 win over Estevan, and have a three-game week ahead to prove they are fully bought in.

11. Warman Wolverines (Last week 12)

By and large, this team has played well in its inaugural campaign, but a few more results would do well to excite a new fan base. They got what they hope is a marquee result Saturday with a 7-3 win in Weyburn, and played exceptionally well while trying to mount a third-period comeback the night before. Teams that are bought into Brett Pilkington’s style tend to fight and scrape like demons, so if they can twin that with some puck luck in the offensive end, a turnaround could be on the horizon. Kane Kennedy has had no trouble translating years of BC Junior B goalscoring success to the SJHL.

12. La Ronge Ice Wolves (Last week 11)

November has been tough for La Ronge, but the future sure looks bright at the JRMCC if the likes of Evan Cook and Trevor Oishi buy into Kevin Kaminski’s programme long term. They have a southern swing scheduled for this week, and Kaminski’s teams are often at their best when their backs are up against the wall and few are betting on them.
