REGINA, SK – Ewan Rennie scored twice, and Dylan Adams made 21 stops as the Estevan Bruins snapped their eight-game skid with a 4-3 win over the Yorkton Terriers Saturday.

Rylan Williams, Cash Olson, and Matthew Ronn all had multi-point outings, and the Bruins slipped ahead of the Humboldt Broncos into the eighth and final playoff spot on regulation-plus-overtime wins.

The Terriers had their eight-game win streak snapped on the night.

Rennie became the first player in the league this year to hit the 30-goal plateau.

In Weyburn, Dion Schraeder notched his first career SJHL two-goal game, and Nate Stevens made 36 saves to help the Red Wings edge the Nipawin Hawks 3-2.

Nipawin’s Mason Karakochuk scored again, giving him eight goals in his last six games. He has 12 points over that span, while his linemate Eric Hoiness has 11 points in those six games.

The Red Wings moved even on points with the Hawks on 60 with fewer than 10 games remaining in the regular season.

Bo Eisner’s power play goal at the 16-minute mark of the first period held up as the winner, and the Melfort Mustangs downed the Humboldt Broncos 2-1.

It was the Mustangs’ fifth win in a row, and their second straight one-goal victory over the Broncos.

Melfort is now within one point of the playoff spots.

Wyatt Stinton’s marker with the man advantage was the winner as the Flin Flon Bombers bounced back from the end of their long unbeaten run Friday with a 4-1 win over the Kindersley Klippers.

Flin Flin got four different goal scorers on the night, and Charlie Tritt won his 18th game of the season by making 27 stops.

Brayden Gourley scored twice, including the game-winner at 12:06 of the first period, to help the Melville Millionaires cruise past the Warman Wolverines 6-1.

Rylan Oatman and Zane Normand both added multi-point games, and the Mils held on to seventh place on win percentage.

Finally, in La Ronge, the Battlefords North Stars got two goals and an assist from Owen Nelson and Drew Williamson extended his point streak to eight games in a 6-1 victory over the Ice Wolves.

Battlefords’ power play went 3-for-7 in the win.
