REGINA, SK – Veteran Kindersley goaltender Cody Jaman made 42 stops for his fourth career SJHL shutout, and the Klippers blanked the Humboldt Broncos 3-0 on a Super Saturday in the league.
The loss snapped Humboldt’s six-game win streak and nine-game unbeaten-in-regulation run.
In Nipawin, Reilley Kotai scored the only goal of the shootout as the Melfort Mustangs slipped past the Hawks 2-1. It was the second time in a week the Hawks took at least a point off a Top 2 team in the league.
Matty Edwards led the way with a goal and an assist as the Weyburn Red Wings salvaged a 5-3 win from their set in La Ronge vs. the Ice Wolves.
Harrison Aldridge notched the winner with 3:44 remaining in regulation, and captain Jaron Desnoyers scored twice as the Yorkton Terriers outlasted the Battlefords North Stars 4-2.
The Stars had tied proceedings with two goals in 23 seconds in the second period.
Carter Cormier’s power-play goal late in the second period held up as the winner, and the Flin Flon Bombers earned the two-game sweep of the Estevan Bruins with a 4-1 victory at the Whitney Forum.
Finally, the Melville Millionaires blew out to a four-goal lead early at home to Notre Dame and held off a late rally to cruise 6-2 past the Hounds.
