REGINA, SK – Tristin Ziola scored a pair, and Zayden Sadlemyer grabbed the winner 2:44 into overtime as the Melfort Mustangs edged the Flin Flon Bombers 3-2 Saturday.

It was Melfort’s 11th victory in a row, and the first time all year Flin Flon dropped a point of any kind at the Whitney Forum all season.

The Bombers still have not been beaten in regulation at home, with their record on the east side of the provincial border at 23-0-1.

Kason Kobelka made 32 stops in the victory.

Melfort was nine points out of a playoff spot and in 10th place on Jan. 11. They are 15-2-1 in 18 games since and sit in sixth place with five games remaining and are on an 11-game win streak.

Josh Knittig notched the winner 12:06 into the first period for his 20th of the year, and the Battlefords North Stars outlasted the Humboldt Broncos 3-1.

Kaeden Serpa made 40 stops in the victory that pushed Battlefords five points clear ahead of Nipawin in third place.

Elsewhere, the Estevan Bruins scored five times in the third period en route to a 7-2 win vs. the Melville Millionaires.

Nathaniel Harvey, Cash Olson, and Ewan Rennie all had three-point games.

Melville forward Hudson Binder scored twice and now has seven goals in his last six contests, with 10 points over that span.

The win helped the Bruins move one point ahead of the Millionaires into seventh.

Tylan Henrikson and Austin Horbachewsky led the way with two goals apiece, and the Yorkton Terriers dominated the La Ronge Ice Wolves from start to finish with an 11-1 triumph.

Nine different Terriers scored goals in front of rookie Alexandro Montoya, who picked up the win.

Yorkton stayed a point ahead of Battlefords in second, and closed the gap on No. 1 Flin Flon to five points, with 10 points up for grabs for both teams in the hunt.

Finally, in Warman, Rylan Wieler was the high scorer with a goal and two assists to help the Kindersley Klippers pull out a much-needed 5-1 win over the Warman Wolverines.

The Klippers moved with two points of Melville for the eighth and final playoff spot, though they have a league-low three games remaining in the regular season.

Mattias Radke made 26 stops in the win.
