REGINA, SK – Grayden Perozni notched his second career two-goal game and the La Ronge Ice Wolves downed the Weyburn Red Wings 5-2 Saturday.
Graham Brown made 41 stops to help the Wolves salvage the final game of their four-games-in-five-days southern swing.
In Humboldt, Battlefords’ forward Finlay Klippenstein scored twice and Kaeden Serpa stopped 49 shots as the North Stars extended their win streak to four games with a 2-1 victory over the Broncos.
Humboldt forward Jacob Strizzi’s league-high point streak ended at 19 games as he was held pointless on the night.
It is the longest such streak since Yorkton’s Chantz Petruic found the scoresheet in 23 consecutive games in the 2019-2020 campaign.
Joey Lies earned his first career SJHL hat trick, and the Flin Flon Bombers won their third in a row and eighth in their last nine by taking down the Melfort Mustangs 5-2.
Both Flin Flon and Battlefords swept their weekend series with the wins.
Alexandro Montoya made 39 saves for his first career SJHL shutout, and Aidan Vallance notched a pair as the Yorkton Terriers cruised past the Melville Millionaires 5-0.
Five different Terriers earned multi-point outings in the victory over their Highway 10 rivals.
Finally, in Nipawin, it was all Hawks as Eric Hoiness’ two goals and two helpers led the way to a 10-1 win over the Warman Wolverines.
New Hawk Brendan Olson also had four helpers and has points in all four games he’s played for Nipawin since they acquired him from Melville. The veteran has eight points in that span.
