REGINA, SK – Jacob Strizzi notched his first career SJHL hat trick, and the Humboldt Broncos earned a much-needed win to salvage something from their road trip with a 5-2 victory in Estevan over the Bruins Saturday.
Jaxon Herchak led the way with a career-high four-point night as the Kindersley Klippers cruised past the Battlefords North Stars 6-3.
In Flin Flon, a wild back-and-forth affair went the way of the Bombers as Leighton Carruthers’ four-point evening helped the hosts outlast the La Ronge Ice Wolves 7-5.
Elsewhere, the Terriers took their fifth decision in a row via big nights from David Coyle and Thierry Laliberte. Two-goal efforts from those two led Yorkton to a 6-3 win at home over the Weyburn Red Wings.
Finally, in a rematch of the SaskTel Game of the Month from Friday, the defending champion Melfort Mustangs extended their league-high 15th consecutive victory with a complete 5-1 triumph vs. the Nipawin Hawks.
