REGINA, SK – Rylan Williams scored four goals and added a helper for his first career hat trick, and the Estevan Bruins swept a wild weekend series with the Humboldt Broncos with a 5-3 victory Saturday.
Rookie Bruin Cash Olson also had three assists on the night.
Battlefords’ forward Finlay Klippenstein notched his second game-winning goal in his last three games, and Kaeden Serpa made 34 saves as the North Stars edged the Melville Millionaires 2-1 in overtime.
Klippenstein has goals in seven of his last nine contests, with nine goals over that span.
In La Ronge, Ice Wolves’ forward Jacob Morrison scored his first career SJHL goal 14 seconds after Weyburn’s Roan Burgess tied it in the first minute of the third period, and it held up as the winner to help the hosts down the Red Wings 2-1.
Graham Brown made 38 stops in the win.
The Bombers won their fifth in a row, and ninth in their last 10, behind a goal and an assist from Sam Ward, via a 4-1 victory at home vs. the Kindersley Klippers.
Joey Lies scored to extend his point streak to five games, with nine points over that span.
Finally, in Melfort, the Mustangs snapped a four-game skid when they cruised past the Warman Wolverines 6-2.
Bo Eisner led the way with a goal and an assist in front of 27 saves from Kason Kobelka.
