SATURDAY RECAP: Wings hit 13 in a row with Highway 39 win

REGINA, SK – Turner McIntyre’s first period goal held up as the winner, and Dazza Mitchell earned a 20-save shutout as the Weyburn Red Wings extended their unbeaten run to 13 games, and took down the Estevan Bruins with a 3-0 victory in the first Highway 39 rivalry game of the year vs. the Estevan Bruins.

Humboldt and Yorkton both scored shootout victories, in Melville and Battlefords, respectively, while the Flin Flon Bombers revival is well under way after a 5-2 triumph in Nipawin.

Finally in La Ronge, the Notre Dame Hounds notched a much-needed 5-2 win led by four points from Marko Djordjevic.
