REGINA, SK – Riley Rich-Holden tied the contest with 54 seconds remaining on the clock, and Oliver Nottingham scored the only goal of the shootout as the Warman Wolverines snapped their six-game losing skid with a 4-3 victory over the Battlefords North Stars Saturday.
Taye Timmerman made 25 stops in the victory.
Nathan Kam stopped 34 Flin Flon shots as the Estevan Bruins outlasted the Bombers 4-2 at Affinity Place.
Ewan Rennie cashed his first hat trick of the campaign for Estevan and now has nine goals and 14 points over a six-game point streak.
In Yorkton, Callum Creig stopped all 23 Melfort shots he faced to earn his third career SJHL shutout in the Terriers’ 2-0 blanking of the Mustangs.
Quinn Tavender’s first of the year, 2:20 into the second period, held up as the winner.
The Weyburn Red Wings won their league-high sixth contest in a row behind a pair of goals from Lucas Schmid.
Josh Sale, Jase McNichol, and Turner McIntyre also added multi-point outings in the Wings’ 6-2 win over the Nipawin Hawks.
Finally, in Melville, the Kindersley Klippers got eight different goal scorers and did not let up in taking down the Millionaires 10-3.
Russ Demo was the game-high scorer with four assists on the night.
