SATURDAY RECAP – Zawatsky pots hat trick in Terriers win

REGINA, SK – Jye Zawatsky notched his first career SJHL hat trick and the Yorkton Terriers held off the Battlefords North Stars 5-3 Saturday.

With the win, the Terriers moved within two points of idle Nipawin for fourth place.

Charlie Tritt stopped all 31 shots he faced for his fourth shutout of the campaign as the Flin Flon Bombers took seven of a possible eight points from their four-game southern swing with a 3-0 victory over the Melville Millionaires.

Reid Arberry’s second-period power play goal ended up the game-winner.

Finally, in Warman, Kai Holowachuk scored 3:02 into overtime to gift the Humboldt Broncos a 5-4 victory over the Wolverines.

It was the second night in a row that a Humboldt defender scored in the extra frame to sink the Warman.
