Nathan Hargrave stopped all 26 shots he faced and Jacob Wozney had two goals and an assist as the Weyburn Red Wings blanked the Flin Flon Bombers 5-0.

Connor Burk, Tyran Brown and Donovan Lumb also scored in the win, as the Red Wings (9-3-0-1) moved into sole possession of first place in the Viterra Division with their fifth straight win.

The Bombers (6-5-1-1) are now 0-3 on their road trip, and look to salvage it with a win Sunday in Notre Dame.

The Battlefords North Stars capped their weekend road trip with their biggest offensive output of the season, following up their loss in Weyburn Friday with a 10-3 win in Estevan on Saturday.

Ben Allen scored his first two SJHL goals, and Connor Logan also added a pair, while Brett Horn and Troy Gerein had a goal and two assists.  Coby Downs, after recently returning to the Stars from the USHL, had a goal and an assist.  Layne Young (1g-1a), McGregor Sinclair (1g-1a), and Keaton Holinaty (1g-1a) also scored.

Michael McChesney, Lynnden Pastachak and Tyler Hengen did the scoring for the Bruins.

The Melfort Mustangs have back to back wins after a 3-2 win over Melville on Saturday night.

Kalem Zary scored a pair, both on the powerplay, his 4th and 5th of the season to lead the Mustangs’ offense.  Justin Ball got them on the board and Ryan Ternes made 25/27 saves.

Evan Plotnik stopped 27/30 shots for the Millionaires, against his old team.  Damian Bentz and Dayton Heino had the goals for Melville.

Michael Korol and Erik Gardiner scored two goals each as the Humboldt Broncos picked up a 5-1 win in Kindersley.

That was Gardiner’s third multi-goal game, in just his fourth game with the Broncos, as the 17-year-old rookie now sits with 6g-1a-7p on the season.  Defenseman Connor Swystun (1g-1a) added his first goal of the year, Chris Van Os-Shaw had two assists and Garrett Mason made 24/25 saves for the Broncos (10-2-0-1).

Sam Binfet scored a short-handed goal to get the Klippers (5-5-0-0) on the board in the first period.
