The Humboldt Broncos picked up their first win of the season on Saturday, a big 9-3 win in Flin Flon.

Tristan Shewchuk picked up a hat trick and Logan Foster added four assists.  Josh Paulhus chipped in a pair of goals, while Bryson Cecconi (1g-2a), Spencer Weinkauf (1g-1a), Justin Jamer and Braiden Koran added singles.  Brendan Forman made 27/30 saves in goal for the Broncos (1-2-0-1).

Alec Malo (1g-1a), Shayde Peterson and Tristan Lemyre scored for the Bombers (3-1-0-0) who suffered their first loss.

The Nipawin Hawks are the first team in the league with four wins, as they remained perfect with a 3-2 win over La Ronge, sweeping that home and home and moving to (4-0-0-0) on the season.

Defenseman Max Johnson had a goal and an assist, while Brodie Girod and Eric Sorensen also scored, and Ethan Slobodzian made 25/27 saves for Nipawin.

Aaron Greyeyes and Samson Mouland found the net for the Ice Wolves (0-5-0-0).  Liam McGarva stopped 30 of the 33 shots he faced.

The Battlefords North Stars moved to 3-0 on the season with a 3-1 win over Estevan.

Adam Dmyterko made 35/36 saves to pick up the victory.  Austin Becker, Hunter Rambow and Dylan Esau picked up the goals for the Stars (3-0-0-0).

Troy Hamilton had the only goal for the Bruins (1-3-0-0), who’ve struggled to score early on, with six goals through their first four games.

Dawson McKenzie had two goals and two assists, and Austin Nault also scored twice as the Kindersley Klippers downed the Weyburn Red Wings 5-2.

Jacob Schapp rounded out the scoring and Matthew Pesenti made 32/34 saves to win his first SJHL start for the Klippers (1-3-0-0).

Jevon Schwean and Jordin Kojima did the scoring for Weyburn (1-2-0-0).
