The Battlefords North Stars made it 15 wins in a row Saturday, as they downed the Nipawin Hawks 5-1 on the road.

Quinton Loon-Stewardson scored twice for the Stars (22-1-0-0), while Rylan Nivon had three assists and Austin Becker had a goal and two assists.  Noah Form (1g-1a) and Matthias Urbanski added the others, and Austin Schwab made 31/32 saves, improving his record on the season to 4-0-0 (1.73, .940).

Carson Erhardt scored for the Hawks (12-10-1-0) and had them ahead just 50 seconds into the game.  Ethan Slobodzian made 31/33 saves coming on in relief.

The Notre Dame Hounds picked up their second shutout win in as many nights, and their third shutout in eight nights, as they blanked the visiting Weyburn Red Wings on Saturday.

The Hounds (10-9-2-1) were out-shot 42-27 but Riley Kohonick stopped all 42 for his second shutout this season.

Sho Takai (1g-1a), Jarrett Penner and Joseph Santalucia did the scoring.

Joseph Young stopped 24/26 shots in goal for the Red Wings (8-13-0-1).

The La Ronge Ice Wolves won their fourth game in a row, moving back to .500 with a 7-2 win over the visiting Kindersley Klippers.

Jake Gudjonson and Rowan Barnes each had three assists for the Ice Wolves (11-11-2-0).  Aaron Greyeyes scored twice, while Kaiden Collumb (1g-1a), Grant Longtin (1g-1a), Max Kleiner, James Philpott and Daylon Mannon added the others.  Mannon’s 37 points have him back in tied for second in the SJHL.

Liam McGarva made 31/33 saves, and has been in net for 10 of the Ice Wolves’ 11 wins.

Jacob Schnapp and Liam Fraser did the scoring for the Klippers (7-11-2-1).

Kenzie Arnold scored his second goal of the night 1:30 into overtime, completing a Melfort comeback as the Mustangs won 5-4 (OT) in Humboldt.

Alex Rondeau, Jake Hobson and Adam Nobes all had a goal and two assists, and Shawn Parkinson made 26/30 saves for the Mustangs (14-6-2-1), who took over sole possession of first place in the Sherwood and second overall in the league.

Humboldt led 4-2 after two periods, before Arnold started the comeback early in the third, and Rondeau tied it and forced overtime with just 15 seconds left in regulation.

Tristan Shewchuk (1g-1a), Zach McIntyre, Logan Foster and Jackson Bohan responded for the Broncos (12-8-2-1).

Nic Porterfield scored three times and the Melville Millionaires beat the Estevan Bruins 5-1 on the road.

Luke Spadafora set up all three Porterfield goals, while Payton Jerome and Zach Bannister also scored for the Millionaires (6-13-2-2).  Berk Berkeliev made 41/42 saves in his first victory since returning from injury.  Berkeliev has made 76/78 saves (.974%) in two games since coming back.

Mason Strutt spoiled the shutout, scoring a third period goal for the Bruins (7-10-2-1).

Chantz Petruic and Ryan Ries scored twice each as the Yorkton Terriers split their Flin Flon trip with a 4-1 win on Saturday.

For Petruic, he now has 23-goals and 23-assists in 23-games.  Ryan Ouelette stopped 47 of the 48 shots he faced, and is still unbeaten since coming back to Yorkton (5-0, 1.66, .960, 1 SO).

Cole Rafuse opened the scoring for the Bombers (13-5-3-0) and Jacob Delorme made 32/35 saves.
