Chantz Petruic scored his 34th and 35th goals of the season, and Alec Zawatsky added a goal and an assist as the Yorkton Terriers capped off a three game road trip with a 5-3 win in Melfort on Saturday.

Kaeden Taphorn (1g-1a) and Jordan Guiney also scored and the Terriers (19-14-1-0) were out-shot 41-19, but Ryan Ouelette’s 38-save performance secured the win, after the club dropped games to La Ronge and Nipawin before Saturday’s win.

Tyson Meyers was in on all three goals for the Mustangs (19-9-2-1), scoring the first two and setting up Ryan MacLean’s first SJHL goal in the third period.

Easton Haygarth scored twice and his brother Chase had three assists, to lead the Flin Flon Bombers to a 5-3 victory over the visiting Nipawin Hawks.

Caleb Franklin (1g-1a), Jaeden Mercier and Dane Hirst also found the net, and Jacob Delorme stopped 38 of 41 shots in goal for the Bombers (21-6-4-0).

Jordan Simoneau (1g-1a), Zach Cox and Davis Chorney replied for the Hawks (17-12-2-0) and Ross Hawryluk made 44/49 saves.

Matt Sanker stopped all 32 shots he faced for his first SJHL shutout and the Kindersley Klippers blanked the Battlefords North Stars 2-0, sweeping their weekend home and home.

Sanker is 5-2-3-0 in 10 starts since coming from Flin Flon to Kindersley, and he has a 2.36 GAA, .935% on the season.

Jacob Schnapp opened the scoring for the Klippers (13-14-5-1) and Ethan King added one more in the third period.  Kindersley is without a regulation loss in their last eight games (5-0-3) and have moved past Notre Dame into 8th spot over the weekend.

The North Stars (26-5-2-0) are now winless in their last four (0-2-2).  Adam Dmyterko made 22/24 saves on Saturday.
