Hardy Wagner scored 31 seconds into overtime, finishing off a three point (1g-2a) night as the Notre Dame Hounds beat the Humboldt Broncos 6-5 (OT) on the road. Ethan Stuckless (2g-1a) and Jake Dale (3a) also had three point nights, while McCoy Bidwell made 39/44 saves. Tristan Shewchuk and Justin Keck each had a goal and an assist for Humboldt.
Jacob Herman made 30 saves for the shutout and the Yorkton Terriers blanked the Melville Millionaires 6-0. Jackson Berezowski had a goal and two assists. The 18 year old from Yorkton had 36 points last season in Everett (WHL).
Easton Haygarth scored twice and Cal Schell made 33/35 saves and the Flin Flon Bombers downed the La Ronge Ice Wolves 6-2. Aaron Greyeyes and Garret Hunter did the scoring for La Ronge.
The Estevan Bruins used six different goal scorers to defeat the Weyburn Red Wings 6-4. Troy Hamilton had a goal and an assist. Nolan Cunningham scored twice for the Red Wings.
The Melfort Mustangs won their Pre Season finale over Nipawin 3-2 on the road. Joel Favreau made 30/32 saves in the victory and Adam Nobes had a goal and an assist. Ross Hawryluk made 14/15 saves for the Hawks in 40 minutes of work.
The exhibition schedule wraps up on Sunday with a pair of games. Battleford heads to Kindersley at 2:00 for a rescheduled game from Friday, while Humboldt’s in Notre Dame at 5:00.
