SHUTOUT WINS FOR BRONCOS, MUSTANGS

Both home teams win big Thursday

Logan Hunter and Logan Schatz each had two goals and an assist each, and the Humboldt Broncos (10-6-1-0) rolled to a 6-0 win over the visiting Yorkton Terriers on Thursday night.

Conner Lukan also scored and Reagan Poncelet added his first SJHL goal, while Kaleb Dahlgren had two assists and Sam-Jaxon Visscher made 22 saves for his first SJHL shutout.

Nolan Maier faced 48 shots in goal for the Terriers (3-10-2-0), stopping 42.

Different venue, same result, as the Melfort Mustangs (11-3-2-1) also picked up a 6-0 win at home, over the La Ronge Ice Wolves (2-12-0-1).

Drew Warkentine scored his first two goals as a Mustang, while Carson Albrecht and Reed Gunville each had a goal and assist.  Justin Ball and Andrew Thompson had the others.  Kalem Zary racked up three assists and Loch Morrison added a pair.  Hunter Arps picked up his first SJHL shutout making 18 saves.
