SJHL alums Kotai, Lemyre on CCHA (NCAA DI) all-star teams

REGINA, SK – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) of NCAA Division I has announced its season all-star teams and Josh Kotai and Tristan Lemyre, two SJHL alumni, have been recognized.

Kotai, 22, was the SaskTel SJHL Goaltender of the Year in 2022-23, while backstopping the Stars to the Canterra Seeds Cup championship and a Centennial Cup silver medal.

He has played in 78 NCAA games since joining the University of Augustana Vikings directly from the SJHL ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

Lemyre, 25, posted 62 points in 44 games for the Flin Flon Bombers in the 2019-2020 campaign, and added six points in four SJHL post-season contests that season.

He scored 13 goals and added 28 points in 37 games for Minnesota State University this season. The Quebec native has played in 120 NCAA Division I contests at the University of Denver, Western Michigan University, and Minnesota State.

Kotai went 14-8-4 while starting all 26 conference games for the Vikings during the 2025-26 conference season, posting a 1.87 goals-against average and a league-best .941 save percentage. Tied for the conference lead with four shutouts, he stopped a league-high 786 shots across 1576:04 minutes, chipping in with one assist offensively. Recording 14 games of 30 or more saves, he stopped 40+ in three contests. His season was highlighted posting three straight shutouts from January 9-16. Overall, he is 20-10-4 with a 1.99 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage with five total shutouts.

Lemyre finished conference play with 12 goals, which was good for third-most in the CCHA. He also recorded 12 assists for 24 points, scoring four times on the power play, while two of his tallies were game winners. Totaling 76 shots on goal, he blocked 11 defensively and averaged 21:27 minutes per game. In all contents, he has 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points. He has 108 shots in 37 games.
