The Saskatchewan Jr Hockey League extends our sincerest condolences to Donn’s immediate and extended family.
Donn spent many years in the SJHL as an Assistant Coach and Head Coach.
Donn was the Assistant Coach for Humboldt Broncos from 1983 to 1987, for the 1986-87 playoffs he was the Head Coach of the Broncos. He then remained as the Head Coach for the Broncos from 1987 to 1989.
Donn joined the Melfort Mustangs for the 1990-91 season as their Head Coach. The following season he moved onto the WHL’s Tacoma Rockets as an Assistant Coach.
Bill Chow, as a scout in the WHL for over 25 years and current President of the SJHL commented “Donn was always open to have a conversation about hockey and would listen to the different philosophies anyone had to share. Even after Donn was no longer directly involved in the game his passion for the game remained the same”
