TSN/CTV to Broadcast Nipawin at Humboldt on Sept.12
The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season will begin September 12th when the Humboldt Broncos play host to the Nipawin Hawks. The contest will be broadcast live on TSN/CTV at 7:30pm.
The game will be played on a Wednesday evening and it will be the lone match on the schedule before eight other teams open the curtain on their season on September 14 as Kindersley goes to Battlefords in what will feature the first games for new coaches Brayden Klimosko (North Stars) and Clayton Jardine (Klippers). Flin Flon is at La Ronge, Estevan will play at Melville, Yorkton at Weyburn, and the Broncos in Nipawin will be the games played on Friday. Melfort and Notre Dame will begin their seasons on Saturday at the Northern Lights Palace, with the Hounds hosting the back end of the home and home on Sunday. The second game of the Flin Flon-La Ronge, Estevan-Melville, Terriers-Wings, Klippers-Stars home and home weekends will be played on Saturday.
September 23-26 features the SJHL Showcase in Warman.
There is a six day break at Christmas with the final game being played December 22 and the first game afterward on the 28th.
The second annual SJHL-MJHL Showcase will be played in Regina in mid-January (13th-15th).
All teams conclude their regular seasons on, or before, March 5th.
