The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s northernmost division has a new name.
The SJHL is proud to announce a new dimension to their existing partnership with UPL, who will now become the official sponsor of the league’s “North” beginning with the 2025-2026 SJHL Regular Season.
UPL becomes the new title sponsor for the SJHL North division, which features the Flin Flon Bombers, La Ronge Ice Wolves, Melfort Mustangs, and Nipawin Hawks, for the next three years.
UPL has had a strong presence in the SJHL since the 2022/23 season, holding the presenting sponsor naming rights to SJHL Weekly, the SJHL Draft, and all SJHL broadcasts originating from the IKS Media studio. Additionally, UPL has been the presenting sponsor for the SJHL Playoffs since 2023.
UPL Corp is a leader in crop protection, developing and manufacturing many of the products that farmers worldwide rely on to protect and nurture their crops and feed a growing population. As a leader, UPL is also committed to supporting the farming communities it serves through initiatives such as the continued support of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL).
“UPL is proud to expand our support of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League as title sponsors of the North division,” said Tony Dalgliesh, Canada marketing manager at UPL Corp. “SJHL is one of the premier junior hockey leagues in Canada and we admire its long-standing commitment to providing its players with the best in both player development and educational opportunities.”
“It’s an honour for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League to partner with an entity so aligned with our prairie roots,” stated SJHL Director of Marketing and Partnerships Jacob Faith. “UPL has been a strong partner on the digital side of the SJHL over the past couple of years. We are now excited to welcome them to more SJHL arenas beginning this season. We can’t wait for the battle for the UPL North Division title to begin on September 19.”
The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and its twelve teams are recognized for their exceptional player development and commitment to their players, staff, and the communities they serve.
