Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League

SOURCE EMBROIDERY POWER RANKINGS (Nov 16)

1-NIPAWIN HAWKS (3-0)
Hawks off to a great start with a balanced attack and solid play in their own zone.

2-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (3-1)
Impressive start against the major junior heavy Terriers and the Broncos were the odds-on favorite by many before each team’s new additions anyway.

3-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (3-1)
Mils struggled in the preseason and lost the regular season opener, but they’ve been rolling ever since.

4-ESTEVAN BRUINS (2-1-1)
Goals against are a little high but there is plenty of firepower here.

5-YORKTON TERRIERS (1-1-1)
Stunned in their season opener, they’ve been better in their last two and too much talent not to do well.

6-LA RONGE ICE WOLVES (2-1)
Eight players at point per game pace early on is a good indication of what to expect on a regular basis.

7-MELFORT MUSTANGS (2-2)
Rookie goalie Favreau appears to be the real deal and that is, likely, enough to keep them competitive most nights.

8-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (1-1)
Return of Kohonick bolsters the goaltending and a good start from the Stuckless brothers.

9-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (1-0)
Just the one game to evaluate the Klippers so far but it was a good result.

10-WEYBURN RED WINGS (0-1-2)
The low shot total on Saturday in Melville is a bit concerning.

11-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (0-3)
Not enough scoring and too many goals allowed through the first three.

12-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (0-2)
Slow start and uncertain immediate future has them starting the year going uphill.
