SOURCE EMBROIDERY POWER RANKINGS (Dec 10)

By Mike Stackhouse

1-NIPAWIN HAWKS (22-8-0-1)
Doing it differently than the other top teams.  They don’t have a prolific top line or even much of an offense at all (only two teams have scored fewer goals).

2-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (20-8-2-1)
Six straight wins and the addition of Enns (8-3-7-10) has given them a bonafide threat up front.  They’ve barely scored more than Nipawin (90-83).

3-MELFORT MUSTANGS (21-8-1-0)
A bit of a slip last weekend when they dropped two in a row, but back to their winning ways this past week with Ball and Albrecht leading the way.

4-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (21-10-2-1)
Camrud has been a weapon on the man advantage, scoring 10 powerplay goals.

5-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (17-9-2-4)
The offense is good, not as great as the top couple of teams.  Their defense has been good, not as great as the top couple of teams.  They are just on the periphery of being elite.

6-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (18-9-0-2)
Shockingly, ordinary on home ice where they are 11-6-0-1.

7-YORKTON TERRIERS (17-11-1-0)
Don’t sleep on the Terriers, who are showing much improved defensive play and just had a four game win streak snapped.

8-ESTEVAN BRUINS (15-17-0-2)
Failure to take advantage of head to head games against Yorkton has them in a hole as they try to chase down the Terriers for first in the division.

9-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (13-16-2-4)
Winless in five and they have a comfortable lead over the teams beneath them for a playoff spot, but Weyburn and Melville do have four games in hand on them.

10-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (9-18-2-2)
1-and-2 under new coach Kyle Adams, including a big Saturday night victory over Weyburn.

11-LA RONGE ICE WOLVES (7-25-1-0)
Winless streak snapped this week against the Red Wings.

12-WEYBURN RED WINGS (9-18-2-2)
They continue to scuffle, but if the playoffs started today – the Wings would be in.
