SOURCE EMBROIDERY POWER RANKINGS (Feb 18)

By Mike Stackhouse

1-NIPAWIN HAWKS (35-13-2-2)  1st last week
Hawks are one of the only top teams NOT on a hot streak, but they still hold top billing recordwise.

2-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (34-16-2-1)  4th last week
Make it ten straight for the Broncos who are in the driver’s seat for the division crown.

3-MELFORT MUSTANGS (32-15-4-0)  5th last week
Mustangs are riding a six game win streak but they may be too far behind Nipawin to catch the Hawks.

4-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (32-14-3-2)  2nd last week
Four road games to close out the month and still three games against Humboldt in their final seven.

5-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (29-13-5-5)  3rd last week
Unbeaten in four and first place in the Global Ag Risk Solutions Division is still, very much, within reach.

6-ESTEVAN BRUINS (30-21-2-1)  6th last week
Bruins have won nine of ten and peaking at just the right time.  Unlike a month ago, nobody is raising their hand to face the Viterra Division champs.

7-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (31-19-1-2)  7th last week
Ravaged by injuries on their blueline and they dropped three of four on their recent road trip to all but eliminate them from first place considerations in the division.  Challenge now is to try and avoid the Survivor Series.

8-YORKTON TERRIERS (27-24-1-0)  9th last week
A weekend sweep of Melville as their focus switches to home ice advantage in the Survivor Series.

9-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (23-20-5-4)  8th last week
Tied with Yorkton at 55 points and both clubs have 6 games to go.  The better team gets home ice in the Survivor Series.

10-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (15-28-5-3) 10th last week
Winless in six games, but the slow race to the finish line favors them as they have a two point edge on Weyburn with a game in hand.

11-WEYBURN RED WINGS (15-31-5-1) 11th last week
Winless in eight, but have scrounged out a couple of points to keep pace with the Mils.

12-LA RONGE ICE WOVLES (10-41-1-1) 12th last week
Tough to win when there’s not much left to play for and the teams you are facing have plenty on the table.
