Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League

SOURCE EMBROIDERY POWER RANKINGS (Jan 27)

1-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (1) 38-7-2
Six straight wins for the Stars as they cruise to the finish and ensure they are healthy for playoffs.

2-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (2) 27-10-5
A split in a big home and home with Nipawin and with games in hand on the rest of the league, they are in the driver’s seat for the number two seed for playoffs.

3-NIPAWIN HAWKS (3) 24-18-3
Tough part of the schedule appears to be behind them and they are peaking at just the right time.

4-YORKTON TERRIERS (4) 27-18-1-1
Terriers have had some time off to allow for other teams to catch up to them in games played.

5-LA RONGE ICE WOLVES (6) 23-17-3-2
They are 1-and-3 in their last four games against tough competition.

6-ESTEVAN BRUINS (7) 21-18-3-1
Only one loss in their last ten, but they’ve benefitted from having six games against Weyburn, Melville, and Notre Dame.  Having said that, all you can do is beat the teams put in front of you to play on a nightly basis.

7-MELFORT MUSTANGS (6) 23-15-3-3
One win in their last seven, but still hanging on to fourth overall in the standings.

8-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (8) 21-18-5-2
Playing decently well and, clearly, looking like a very formidable team next season if last week’s Showcase is any indication of what’s to come.

9-WEYBURN RED WINGS (9) 18-24-0-1
Wings have won back to back games but could be too far off the playoff pace.

10-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (10) 17-21-6-1
Klippers are unbeaten in three overall but could also be facing a similar story as Weyburn.

11-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (12) 16-25-3-1
Hounds and Mils are falling behind even the other two non-playoff clubs.

12-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (11) 13-25-2-4
They mounted a late comeback against Kindersley on Sunday, but they were outshot 36-13 after two periods.
