While it was a much better performance from the Battlefords North Stars at Day 3 of the 2023 Centennial Cup, the results were much different as they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Collingwood Blues of the OJHL Saturday morning.

The Champions from the OJHL scored timely goals and played superb defensively in front of goaltender Noah Pak, who made 36 saves in the victory.

Steven Kesslering was the lone North Star to find the back of the net in the contest, his 2nd of the tournament.

The loss drops the North Stars record to 1-1 at the 2023 Centennial Cup and also marks their first loss since March 17th when they dropped Game 1 of their first round series to the Weyburn Red Wings.

Battlefords will now have a day off before returning to the ice Monday night against the host Portage Terriers with puck drop at 6:00pm Saskatchewan time.
