Stars Fall Short in Centennial Cup Final

It was a story book season for the Battlefords North Stars, but unfortunately it wasn’t the story book ending they were hoping for as the team fell 4-0 in the Centennial Cup Final to the Brooks Bandits.

Three goals in the span of 1:37 in the 2nd period was the the major difference in the Centennial Cup Final and for the Stars it was too big of a hole to come out of.

Brooks would also find the back of the net on the power-play which marked the first time all tournament that the Stars allowed a goal against on the penalty kill.

Despite allowing four goals, Josh Kotai was superb once again for the Battlefords North Stars, making 38 saves in the victory.

Below you can listen to Post-Game Comments from Battlefords North Stars Head Coach and General Manager Brayden Klimosko following the loss.

The City of North Battleford has also announced they will be welcoming back the Stars with a celebration for Monday evening. Details can be found below.
