Overtime Decision Over Melfort

Brayden Klimosko has his first SJHL win as a full-time Head Coach & GM, as the Battlefords North Stars earned a 4-3 overtime win over the visiting Melfort Mustangs on Thursday night.

Matthias Urbanski capped a three point night with his first goal of the year, 4:41 into the extra frame.  20-year-old Braydon Buziak opened the scoring with a short-handed goal late in the first period, his first SJHL goal since 2015-2016, as he spent the last two seasons in the WHL.  MacGregor Sinclair (1g-1a) and Jacob Bayne also found the net, and Joel Gryzbowski made 28/31 saves for the Stars (1-2-0-0).

Justin Ball, Colin Schmidt and Tyson Meyers replied for the Mustangs (1-1-1-0).
