Stars Prepare for 2023 Centennial Cup

It’s been 17 days since the Battlefords North Stars hoisted the Canterra Seeds Cup, and while the rest at this time of the year is always welcome, the club has also been busy preparing for the 2023 Centennial Cup in Portage, Manitoba.

The team is currently on their way to the host city after touring around their new hardware in the Battlefords, but now they hope to bring back another trophy to Saskatchewan, a Junior A National Championship. The last team to do that was the 2014 Yorkton Terriers.

Battlefords will kick off the tournament Thursday morning as they play the opening game of the National Championship against the SIJHL Champion, Kam River Fighting Walleye. The Stars entire schedule for the round robin portion of the Centennial Cup can be found below.

Every game at the 2023 Centennial Cup can be watched online on Hockey Canada’s website and the Championship game will be on TSN.
