SUPER SATURDAY RECAP: Borsos stones Broncos in Humboldt

HUMBOLDT, SK – Spencer Borsos stopped a single-game season-high 57 shots, and the Notre Dame Hounds outlasted the Humboldt Broncos 6-4 at the Elgar Petersen Arena on a Super Saturday around the SJHL.

Nipawin scored twice in the third period, and Eric Hoiness tallied in overtime as the Hawks edged the Estevan Bruins 4-3.

David Coyle notched a pair, Jaron Desnoyers scored the winner in the third, and the Yorkton Terriers outlasted the Kindersley Klippers 4-3 at the Westland Arena.

Reilley Kotai added three more points to run his current scoring streak to a ridiculous 15 points in his last four contests, and the Melfort Mustangs cruised past the La Ronge Ice Wolves 8-0.

In the Battlefords, the North Stars scored three power-play goals and got four points from Jordan Grill as they downed the Weyburn Red Wings 9-3.

Finally, at the Whitney Forum, Kenneth Marquart made 34 stops en route to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Melville Millionaires.
