While Curtis Hammond has only played 31 games in a Melfort
Mustangs uniform, the 2001-born forward has made his presence
known.

Out of Fort St. John B.C., Hammond was acquired by the Mustangs in
August of 2021, prior to training camp from the Coquitlam Express. He
was sent out to the BCHL as part of a futures deal after playing for the
Grand Prairie Storm of the AJHL in 2020/2021.

In his time with the Mustangs, Hammond has scored, and scored a ton.
His 15 goals are most on the team next to new acquisition Nolan Doell
who has 20 goals on the year, but just five with the Mustangs.
Hammond’s 15 goals are also good ninth in the SJHL, and his seven
power-play goals are sixth in the league.

Prior to his time in the SJHL, Hammond tallied two points in 11 games
with Grand Prairie in the COVID shortened 2020/2021 season. In
2019/2020, Hammond scored four goals and added 11 assists with the
Bonnyville Pontiacs of the AJHL.
