Terriers Head Coach and General Manager Emery Olauson announced today that they have acquired Forward Keenan Ingram (’04) from the Weyburn Red Wings in exchange for prospect Ryder Woods (’07) and a Player Development Fee.
The 6’4, Calgary, Alberta product has one goal in three games with Weyburn and is coming off a productive campaign a year ago with 20 goals and 25 assists in 45 split with the Kindersley Klippers and Fort MacMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
When asked about the trade, Ingram said he’s excited to get things rolling with the Terriers.
“It’s nice coming into a new team and knowing Harry (Aldridge) and Corms (Cormier) and having a great coach like Emery it will definitely make it easy to settle in,” said Ingram.
Olauson said he is excited to add another player to an explosive offence.
“With the injury to Tate Schofer, we wanted to add another experienced forward to the group,” said Olauson. “Keenan possesses an elite shot and is a big body that can move well; we are looking forward to getting him acclimated to the offence,” added Olauson.
Olauson has some familiarity with Ingram, coaching him with the Columbia Valley Rockies of the KIJHL, where he led the team in scoring 74 points and winning Rookie of the Year in 2022-23.
The Terriers return to action Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM vs Humboldt.
