TERRIERS END STARS’ STREAK WEDNESDAY

The Battlefords North Stars’ winning streak is over at 15 games, after the Yorkton Terriers beat the Stars for the second time this season, 6-4 on the road Wednesday night.

SJHL scoring leader Chantz Petruic found yet another gear, scoring four goals and assisting on the other two, for a six point night.  Petruic now has 28-goals and 54-points in 25-games, and has a 9-goal, and 17-point lead at the top of the race.  Jordan Guiney added a goal and two assists, while Steven Norum scored the winner.  Ryan Ouelette made 29/33 saves in goal for the Terriers (14-10-1-0), who are now 2-0-1 in three games against the Stars, the #1 ranked team in the nation.

Quinton Loon-Stewardson scored a pair for the North Stars (22-2-0-0).  Timon Prexler opened the scoring for Battlefords 1:49 into the game, and Kaden Boser also found the net.
