HUMBOLDT, SK – Rylan Hue and Jeter Korte scored 34 seconds apart with less than 90 seconds remaining in regulation, and Connor Miller sniped a beauty in the shootout as the Humboldt Broncos rallied to down the Kindersley Klippers 5-4 in the skills competition Tuesday.

Despite the eight goals scored, both goaltenders, Brett O’Halloran for Kindersley and Nick Kotai for Humboldt, shone on the night, making a combined 72 stops.

Broncos’ forward Jacob Strizzi added four points on the night, to move even with Estevan’s Ewan Rennie atop the league scoring leaders.

Elsewhere in Nipawin, the Hawks got a pair from 2009-born affiliate Carson Park, and four points from Ashton Tait to beat the La Ronge Ice Wolves 7-3.

Eric Hoiness’ first of the year at the 4:26 mark of the second period held up as the winner.
