Elsewhere in Weyburn, the Red Wings got a pair from Josh Sale, and Lucas Schmid extended his point streak to 16 games to help the hosts down the La Ronge Ice Wolves 4-2.

Rookie Nate Stevens made 36 stops to improve to 3-0 in the Weyburn net on the year.

Finally, the Hawks were paced by a goal and an assist from Noah Derouin and a 26-save effort from Gage Roberts as Nipawin beat the Melville Millionaires 4-2.
