REGINA, SK – Carter Anderson tied the game for the Hawks with ten seconds remaining in regulation, but North Stars’ forward Braden Nienaber scored the only goal in the shootout as Battlefords edged Nipawin 4-3 Tuesday.
In La Ronge, the Mustangs extended their winning streak to six games as Nicholas Andrusiak’s third-period marker held up as the game-winner in Melfort’s 4-3 victory over the Ice Wolves.
Finally, Will Christian and Braden Cunningham each had a goal and an assist as the Kindersley Klippers cruised past the Notre Dame Hounds 6-2 in Wilcox. Marko Djordjevic responded with a pair of tallies for the hosts.
The Yorkton Terriers and Weyburn Red Wings game was postponed due to an issue with the rink in Weyburn.
