REGINA, SK – The Yorkton Terriers showed off their league second-best power play Tuesday as their man advantage went 2-for-4 en route to a 4-1 victory over the Estevan Bruins.
Both Tylan Henrikson’s opening goal and Aidan Vallance’s eventual game-winner came a man up, while Vinay Junek was the only man in the contest with a multi-point outing.
Dylan Adams starred in net for Estevan, making 39 stops in defeat.
Elsewhere in Humboldt, it was the visiting Weyburn Red Wings who held off the Broncos’ repeated rallies to take the 6-4 win.
Lucas Schmid notched a pair, his second consecutive two-goal game. At the same time, the recently arrived Rylan Pearce, who recently came from Regina in the Western Hockey League, contributed three assists in the triumph.
Broncos rookie Gabriel Kaminski scored his first two SJHL goals in the loss.
