Hobbs Adds Another Shutout

The Estevan Bruins out-shot the Nipawin Hawks 39-26 but Declan Hobbs stopped all 39 in the Hawks’ net for his second shutout in less than a week, third this season and eighth career, as Nipawin blanked the visiting Bruins 2-0 on Tuesday.

Christian Bosa’s powerplay goal late in the second period broke the ice and stood up as the winner.  Austen Flaman (1g-1a) notched his third goal in his last two games, into an empty net to seal it.

The Hawks (10-5-0-0) jumped into a share of first place in Sherwood Division with Flin Flon, one point up on Melfort.

Grant Boldt made 25/26 saves in goal for the Bruins (7-8-0-0).
