The Weyburn Red Wings (3-2-1-0) scored four times in the third period and rolled to a 5-2 victory in Notre Dame, in one of three games on Tuesday night’s SJHL schedule.

Jeremy Velazquez opened the scoring 36 seconds into the second period, before Connor Pyne, Tyran Brown, Ben Hiltz and Cade Kowalski filled up the scoresheet in the third.  Carter Phair was in goal, making 21 saves on 23 shots.

Alec Zawatsky added a goal and an assist for the Hounds (3-3-1-1), and now has 4-goals and 6-points in four games since arriving in a trade from B.C.  Chaz Smedsrud also scored for Notre Dame, his fourth of the year.

The Battlefords North Stars fell behind 2-0 to the visiting Humboldt Broncos, but defenseman Levi Kleiboer played a big part in getting them back in it, and the Stars won 3-2 in overtime, and still remain without a regulation loss (5-0-1-0) on the year.

Kleiboer scored late in the second period, and early in the third to tie it, before completing a three point night, setting up the OT winner by MacGregor Sinclair.  Taryn Kotchorek turned away 40 of 42 shots.

Kaleb Dahlgren and Evan Thomas had the Broncos (4-2-1-0) up 2-0 in the first period.  Jacob Wassermann made 34/37 saves.

The Kindersley Klippers went into La Ronge and came away with a 5-3 decision.

Brody Ryberg picked up a goal and two assists for the Klippers (3-3-1-0) while Cameron Shorrock, Noah Turanski, Will Van der Sloot and Jordan Funk all scored, and Billy Girard won his first SJHL start in goal making 31/34 saves.

Bryce Fiske, Blaise Arkle and Derek Frater did the scoring for the Ice Wolves (1-5-0-1), while Luke Lush was busy in net, turning away 48/53 shots.
