Declan Hobbs backstopped the Nipawin Hawks to a 3-2 win in Flin Flon Tuesday night, stopping 44 of the 46 shots sent his way.

Shots were 44-29 in favour of Flin Flon, and the Bombers opened the scoring less than a minute into the game, but Hobbs stood tall the rest of the way.

The Hawks (16-8-0-1) scored twice, 17 seconds apart in the third period to tie it up and take the lead, and leapfrogged the Bombers for 2nd place in the Sherwood, two points back of Melfort for the division lead.

Jordan Simoneau, Jake Tremblay and Brodie Girod scored for the Hawks.  Daylan Marchi and Donovan Houle-Villeneuve replied and Pierce Diamond made 26/29 saves for the Bombers (15-7-0-2).

The Yorkton Terriers moved into a tie for top spot in the Viterra Division, thanks to their second win over Estevan in the last four nights, 8-4 in Yorkton.

The Terriers (13-9-1-0) also have five games in hand on the Bruins (13-14-1-0) and are winners of three in a row.
